Wealthtech startup Zomint has raised ₹36 crore (about $3.75 million) in a seed funding round from Lightspeed and Prime Venture Partners, reported on 7 October 2026.

Founded in September 2025 by Aman Mittal and Shavir Bansal, Zomint is a wealth management platform targeting working professionals and families building long-term wealth. It pairs customers with dedicated wealth experts, backed by investment research and AI tools that consolidate portfolio information, financial goals and past conversations to flag issues and track agreed actions.

Zomint targets investors beyond the HNI segment, offering entry through a ₹25,000 monthly SIP or a ₹5 lakh lump sum. Mittal, the startup's CEO, previously held product leadership roles at Flipkart and Pine Labs; Bansal, its COO, previously worked at Kotak Mahindra Bank and founded the personal-finance content platform Bekifaayati, which claims over 50 lakh subscribers.

The fresh capital will strengthen its technology and investment capabilities, expand the wealth and investment teams, and grow its content-led distribution across new formats and regional languages. According to the company, Zomint has retained 97% of its clients since launch despite market volatility, nearly one in three clients made additional investments within three months, and its relationship managers serve more than 250 families each.

The close of the round caps an interest that was reported back in May, when ET said the startup was looking to raise $3-4 million backed by the same two investors.

Why it matters for founders

Wealthtech is moving downmarket from HNIs to mass-affluent families — and ₹36 crore is a big seed for a one-year-old startup. The formula: a trusted founder content channel (Bekifaayati's 50 lakh subscribers) feeding a human-plus-AI advisory engine. Distribution before product isn't optional in wealth.
