Cybersecurity startup Zaperon has raised ₹7 crore in a seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures (IPV), announced in Delhi on October 5, 2026. The round marks one of the month's notable early-stage bets on AI-native security infrastructure.

Zaperon is building AI-powered autonomous identity security — what the industry calls Agentic-AI identity security — designed for enterprises deploying AI agents at scale. As companies hand more workflows to autonomous AI systems, identity and access become the new attack surface, and Zaperon is positioning itself squarely at that intersection.

The startup says it will deploy the fresh capital toward product innovation, building enterprise-grade AI security frameworks, and expanding its footprint across India and the United States.

Traction so far is encouraging: Zaperon counts clients across BFSI, healthcare, manufacturing and government sectors, and its work has been recognised by both Nasscom and MeitY — institutional validation that carries real weight in enterprise and public-sector security buying.

The round also underscores IPV's continued appetite for early bets. The angel investing platform has deployed over ₹900 crore across more than 280 startups, and its backing gives Zaperon both capital and a deep founder-investor network as it scales.

Why it matters for founders

AI-agent adoption is creating brand-new security categories almost overnight. If you're building in this space, institutional recognition (Nasscom, MeitY) and referenceable enterprise logos matter more than pitch decks — Zaperon's story shows that sector-specific validation unlocks both capital and customers.
