Bengaluru-based home-furnishing startup wudhomes has raised Rs 2.5 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by AJVC, the investment firm founded by Aviral Bhatnagar. Seekho co-founders Rohit Choudhary, Keertay Agarwal and Yash Banwani, along with other angel investors, also participated in the round.
Founded by Vasu Arneja and Aditya Singh, wudhomes is building an integrated model that connects digital inspiration, personalised product curation, spatial visualisation, physical retail, home visits and supply-chain management into one journey — tackling the chaos of juggling furniture, budgets and deliveries across vendors.
The company will use the funds to develop a vertically integrated supply chain, build in-house technology, strengthen its retail experience and expand operational capabilities. The startup has already furnished over 200 homes in recent months, opened a retail outlet on Sarjapur Road in Bengaluru, and introduced a home-visit service where consultants assess customers' spaces and recommend furnishing options.
"At wudhomes, we're building a model that brings together inspiration, design, technology, physical retail and an integrated supply chain into one connected journey," said co-founder Vasu Arneja. Bhatnagar added that the integrated model has "the potential to build a differentiated business in a large, underserved market."
Why it matters for founders
Pre-seed cheques still flow for founders attacking genuinely fragmented categories with an integrated playbook. wudhomes combined 200 furnished homes, a live store and a home-visit service before raising — proof that early operational traction beats a pitch deck, even at pre-seed.
