Who Wint Wealth is
Wint Wealth funding flows the other way round from venture capital: instead of startups raising from it, everyday investors use Wint Wealth to lend to companies and earn fixed returns. Wint is a SEBI-registered online bond platform (an OBPP) offering curated corporate bonds with 9–12% fixed returns from just ₹1,000. Founded in 2020 in Bengaluru, it positions bonds as the middle path between volatile equities and low-yield FDs — pre-decided returns, typically over 1–3 year tenures, from instruments once reserved for institutions and HNIs.
Thesis
Wint's thesis is curation over catalogue. From the many bonds available at any time, its experts list only senior secured bonds clearing strict internal criteria — and to keep skin in the game, Wint Wealth invests a small percentage of its own money in every bond that goes live. Senior secured means collateral backing and repayment priority over unsecured creditors. The platform claims zero defaults till date — a statement about the past, not a guarantee, as its own disclaimers stress.
Sectors & stages
Wint lists corporate bonds, securitised debt instruments and NBFC-issued non-convertible debentures (NCDs) — products earlier limited to institutions. The focus is senior secured paper with tenures of roughly 1–3 years and payouts that can be monthly, quarterly or at maturity. Ticket sizes run ₹1,000–₹10,000 by product.
Fund size & cheque size
This is a marketplace, not a fund. The numbers that matter: 9–12% fixed returns, minimums from ₹1,000, and — per the platform — over ₹500 crore of bonds brought to investors with 0% defaults so far. Units reach your Demat within 5 working days; all payments go to your Demat-linked bank account.
Notable portfolio
Wint's scorecard is operational: zero defaults claimed till date, 4.5 stars on Google Play with 10 lakh+ downloads, 4.7 on the App Store. Beyond distribution it has built origination — Wint Capital, its NBFC arm, has disbursed about ₹370 crore across 40+ clients, after RBI approved Wint's majority stake in Chandigarh-based Ambium Finserve.
Partners / team
Founded in 2020 by Ajinkya Kulkarni, Abhik Patel, Shashank Chimaladari and Anshul Gupta, it is backed by Nithin Kamath (Zerodha), Kunal Shah (CRED), Lalit Keshre (Groww) and Pravin Jadhav (Dhan). It has raised about $22 million from India Quotient, 3one4 Capital, Blume Ventures and Eight Roads Ventures, with ~$20 million from Vertex Ventures reported in talks in 2025 — not a closed round.
Programs & perks
Wint won SEBI's OBPP approval in 2023, bringing listings inside a regulated framework with disclosure and investor-protection rules. Its NBFC licence via Ambium Finserve lets it originate and structure credit, not just distribute it. Its own FAQ is blunt about risks — bankruptcy, illiquidity, fraud — which is exactly the reading to do before chasing headline yield.
How to apply for funding from Wint Wealth
Founders do not raise from Wint — investors invest through it. Sign up on wintwealth.com with your phone number, complete the 5-minute KYC, browse live bonds with full documents, and invest from ₹1,000; units reach your Demat within 5 working days. These are corporate bonds, not FDs — read the bond document, diversify across issuers, and never invest emergency funds.
Why it matters for founders
Wint Wealth gives retail investors regulated access to 9–12% senior secured bonds from ₹1,000, with zero defaults claimed so far and its own co-investment in every listing. It is an investor platform, not a startup funder — approach it for fixed income, with the risks read first.
