Startup funding in India keeps flowing into AI tools for retail investors. Bengaluru-based Tradl has raised $4.1 million (about Rs 40 crore) in a seed funding round from Nexus Venture Partners and Stellaris Venture Partners, with a few angel investors also participating.

How the round surfaced

The fundraise was first reported by Inc42 on 26 October 2026 and is reflected in the company's filings with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. Tradl and its investors had not commented publicly on the round at the time of reporting, so the funding details rest on those filings and reports rather than a company announcement.

What Tradl builds

Founded in 2025 by Shubham Bansal and Nilesh Raj, Tradl combines AI with quantitative analysis to help retail traders screen stocks, analyse markets and test strategies. Its toolkit includes an AI-powered stock screener, technical charts and backtesting tools that run strategies against historical data, and AI that interprets natural-language queries for its quantitative engine.

The founders are IIT Guwahati graduates. Bansal previously spent around five years at Goldman Sachs, while Raj worked at fintech startup Stable Money. Tradl lists the NSE, the BSE and the MCX as exchange partners, and CMOTS as a data partner, and says its aim is to give retail traders the depth of analysis typically reserved for institutional trading desks.

Why it matters for founders

For founders, Tradl shows a credible wedge in a crowded market: do not compete with brokers on cheaper trades, compete on better research. Institutional-grade screening and backtesting, explained in plain language, is a product retail traders will pay attention to.
