ThinKuvate is a Singapore-headquartered cross-border venture firm investing across India and Southeast Asia — early conviction capital paired, in its own words, with practitioner-led execution support. It began as a Singapore-based angel investment network and now operates regulated, multi-vehicle capital: a SEBI-registered Angel Fund in India and institutional VC vehicles under construction. Its site claims 36 companies backed across India, Southeast Asia and the US, and three portfolio liquidity events, including one full exit of an ASX-listed company.

The firm was founded by Nagpur University alumni Ghanshyam Ahuja, Ritesh Toshniwal and Vikas Saxena, with Mayank Jain joining as CEO of the India fund and Addison Appu serving as a partner. The India fund’s investor base is close to 200, with more than half being non-resident Indians based in Singapore, the US and the UK.

The Rs 100-crore India fund

ThinKuvate India Fund-I, the firm’s first India-focused fund, was launched with a total corpus of Rs 100 crore and received SEBI approval as an AIF Category I fund. It completed its first close at Rs 25 crore, just four months after inception. The fund invests in tech startups across sectors — with a particular focus on B2B and B2B2C startups in healthtech, fintech, IoT, AI-ML, consumer-tech and martech — from seed to Series A, writing initial cheques of up to Rs 3 crore. It aims to back 12–15 startups a year, building a portfolio of 30–40 companies, and launched with investor roadshows across Nagpur, Raipur, Bengaluru and Chennai to tap emerging as well as established startup hubs.

Reported portfolio companies include autonomous-vehicle technology firm Rosh.ai, same-day delivery platform Zippee, cybersecurity startup Pantherun, workforce-management provider NymbleUp.ai, health-tech startup QubeHealth, CureSkin, D2C nutrition brand Good Monk, Amwoodo, EV mobility startup EVeez, and Dropsuite — acquired by NinjaOne for $270 million. ThinKuvate also partnered with SanchiConnect to launch PULSE, a programme backing AI-led fintech startups.

How it works with founders

ThinKuvate prefers startups that are revenue-generating with early traction and market acceptance, patented-product companies, and teams with two or more founders. Its edge for founders is the cross-border network: mentoring and advisory from a 200-strong LP base of senior corporate professionals, and a stated playbook of extending the India experience to Southeast Asia.

Why it matters for founders

If you are building a tech startup — especially in B2B, healthtech, fintech, IoT or AI-ML — and want a SEBI-regulated fund writing seed-to-Series-A cheques of up to Rs 3 crore with a genuinely cross-border network, ThinKuvate is one to know. Its roadshows in cities like Nagpur and Raipur also signal a real appetite for founders outside the metro echo chamber.
