Dehradun-based medtech startup Sunfox Technologies has raised $7 million (around ₹67 crore) in a Series A round led by Ashish Kacholia, Lashit Sanghvi, Alchemy Capital and 3one4 Capital, Inc42 reported on 7 October 2026.
Sunfox develops portable and AI-enabled cardiac diagnostic solutions for hospitals, clinics, telemedicine networks, public health programmes and home-based monitoring. Its Spandan devices let users and healthcare workers record ECGs using a smartphone and share them with doctors for remote interpretation — flagging cardiac patterns that need urgent attention.
The startup claims to have deployed around 60,000 Spandan devices across India, reaching more than 20,000 villages, with its Spandan One platform supporting screening of around 5 million patients annually.
The capital will fund expansion of the Spandan platform across India, team growth, and investment in R&D, clinical evidence and new cardiac technologies. Sunfox will also build regulatory, distribution and commercial capabilities across the US, Europe and Africa — it already holds approvals in India, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania and South Africa, and is pursuing clearances in the US and EU.
Founded in 2016 by Rajat Jain, Arpit Jain, Sabit Rawat, Nitin Chandola and Saurabh Badola, Sunfox previously raised ₹15 crore (about $1.8 million) led by Venture Catalysts in 2024.
Why it matters for founders
Ten years in, Sunfox is raising growth capital on deployed-scale numbers — 60,000 devices and 5 million patients screened a year. Medtech investors pay for regulatory approvals plus distribution, not just devices. Build the clinical evidence and the clearance stack, and the cheque follows.
