SucSEED Indovation Fund is a Hyderabad-based venture capital firm — a SEBI-registered AIF Category-I Venture Capital Angel Fund — founded in 2016 and anchored at CIE at IIIT Hyderabad in Gachibowli. It grew out of the SucSEED Angel Network and IIITH Tech Ventures, and invests in early- to growth-stage tech startups transforming global markets with a founder-centric, hands-on mentorship approach. Its flagship Indovation Fund is Rs 300 crore, and it is raising a USD 100 million GROWTH Fund from GIFT City (pending IFSCA regulatory approval).
Investment thesis
The thesis is that India's best early tech bets emerge from strong academic and ecosystem linkages — and that hands-on mentoring on sales, finance, systems, legal and HR is as valuable as the cheque at seed stage. The firm has evaluated over 6,000 deals and onboarded 60+ SMEs into its network, giving it unusually broad deal-flow visibility for a fund of its size.
Sectors, stages and cheque sizes
The fund invests at seed and pre-Series A (the Growth Fund extends to pre-Series A–Series B) across edtech, healthtech, fintech, security and regtech, enterprise SaaS, gaming, sportstech and mediatech, and the digital economy and emerging technologies. Cheque sizes are not publicly stated.
Notable portfolio
Portfolio names include i2iFunding, Remedo, IntelleWings, SportVot, EventBeep and Udbhata Technologies.
People
Vikrant Varshney is Co-founder and Managing Partner. The general-partner bench includes Dhiraj Kumar Sinha, Lax Chepuri, J A Chowdary, Ramesh Loganathan and V V S N Raju.
Programs and founder support
Beyond capital, the firm offers structured mentoring across sales and marketing, finance, systems and technology, risk, legal and compliance, and HR, plus a founder community and market-access network, and publishes a Tech Innovation Report / investment outlook. No formal credits or perks programme is publicly documented.
How to engage
The IIIT-Hyderabad anchoring makes SucSEED a natural first call for founders in the Hyderabad tech corridor and the institute's orbit — the CIE at IIITH connection means genuine ecosystem proximity, not just an address. The firm's mentoring infrastructure spans sales, finance, systems, legal and HR, so founders should arrive knowing which functions need shoring up; the mentoring is structured, not ad hoc. With the USD 100 million GIFT City GROWTH Fund in the pipeline (pending IFSCA approval), seed-stage companies should also discuss the follow-on path to Series B upfront.
Why it matters for founders
Hyderabad and IIIT-Hyderabad-adjacent founders get a home-turf fund that understands the local ecosystem deeply — and the mentoring infrastructure is genuinely hands-on, not a slide in a deck. With the $100M GIFT City growth vehicle in the works, early portfolio companies may also get a built-in follow-on path.
