Pharmaceutical and nutraceutical company Steadfast Limited has invested over ₹100 crore in establishing a fully integrated in-house Formulation Research & Development (FR&D) facility in Noida, YourStory reported on October 16, 2026.
The facility has recently commenced operations with annual capacity of 900 million tablets, 130 million capsules, 900 million effervescent tablets and 6,500 metric tonnes of powder.
Startup funding India news: making in India, for India's wellness boom
The company says the investment builds world-class research and nutraceutical manufacturing capability and strengthens India's self-reliance in nutraceutical manufacturing. The plant can manufacture supplements across delivery formats – tablets, powders, effervescent tablets and capsules.
The timing is notable: India's nutrition and wellness market is expanding fast, and brands increasingly want formulation partners that can move from lab to scale without leaving the country. An integrated FR&D-plus-manufacturing asset like this shortens that path for D2C supplement startups and pharma brands alike.
Why it matters for founders
Contract research and manufacturing is a quiet compounding business: every supplement startup you know needs a formulation partner. Founders in D2C nutrition should map in-house-manufacturing partners like this early – scale, quality control and ₹100-Cr-grade infrastructure are what separate a fad brand from a durable one.
