Startup funding in India over 29–30 October 2026 was a mix of closed rounds, reported talks and a busy SME IPO window. Here is the week in one place, with talks clearly marked as talks — not closed deals.

New this round

Pixxel set up Pixxel Federal, a US subsidiary to chase defence and intelligence contracts, after its $100 million Series C. Venture firms are reportedly in talks to invest more than Rs 1,000 crore across a dozen consumer startups, including Technosport (Rs 250-300 crore), mCaffeine (Rs 250-300 crore, potentially beyond Rs 600 crore) and The Health Factory (Rs 200 crore). Cat food startup Smylo is in advanced talks for around Rs 30 crore in equity and debt.

Public markets

Wiscon Industries closed its Rs 110 crore SME IPO at 1.15 times, with allotment on 30 October and listing due 3 November. Core4 Engineers listed on BSE SME on 30 October after its Rs 54.82 crore IPO was subscribed 5.44 times. Three more SME IPOs opened on 30 October: HGS (India) at Rs 34.56 crore, Johnsoncab Electricals at Rs 56.02 crore and Maxwell Engineering at Rs 57.64 crore.

Closed rounds covered earlier this week

Reported earlier on this blog: Venttup raised $3 million, Ace Blend raised $9.91 million, Jagruti raised Rs 28 crore, Coratia Technologies raised Rs 18 crore, Docterz raised Rs 5 crore, Tensrai raised Rs 3.4 crore, Zorit raised Rs 27 crore, Viridian Ingni raised Rs 1.47 crore, ISLAND Beauty raised Rs 2.58 crore, Carbelim raised Rs 10 crore, Simplismart raised $14 million, and One Planet Partners launched a Rs 3,000 crore fund.

Why it matters for founders

The pattern of the week is selectivity: closed rounds went to companies with revenue or deep-tech proof, IPO demand split sharply between institutions and retail, and the biggest consumer numbers are still talks. Founders should pitch proof, not projections, into this market.
