Startup funding in India packed a busy three days from October 12 to 14, 2026: deeptech manufacturing, haircare, ice cream and enterprise AI drew fresh cheques, while the week's IPO pipeline dominated headlines with mega anchor books.

The week's biggest moves

Zetwerk raised ₹2,251 crore from anchor investors ahead of its ₹5,012-crore IPO opening October 15 with a ₹143–151 price band. Fusion CX raised ₹315 crore via its anchor book at ₹289 per share ahead of its ₹702-crore IPO, which opened October 14. Defence tech startup Tonbo Imaging fixed its IPO price band at ₹665–700 for its ₹852-crore offer opening October 15, while Sahajanand Medical Technologies set a ₹327–344 band for its ₹475.48-crore IPO.

On the funding side, speciality chemicals startup Scimplify raised $25 million led by Hitachi Ventures to expand US operations; former Dyson India MD Ankit Jain's Foundry raised ₹12 crore from BEENEXT and Kettleborough VC for premium kitchen appliances; and enterprise AI startup Parallel Loop raised $6.6 million in a seed round led by 3one4 Capital.

Talks-stage action was equally notable: haircare brand Traya is in discussions to raise around ₹300 crore from Verlinvest at a ₹2,500–3,000 crore valuation, while ice cream brand Hocco is in talks with General Atlantic and ChrysCapital for ₹300–400 crore at a ₹4,000–4,500 crore valuation. IT advisory firm Infotech acquired SaaS startup Zluri in its first acquisition in 30 years.

Earlier in the window, Nat Habit raised ₹142 crore in a Series C led by Trident Growth Partners (October 12), and Tessolve Semiconductor raised $75 million led by Vector Line Capital. The ecosystem side saw The/Nudge secure $15 million from Google.org for AI tools for MSMEs, and a Tracxn report pegged India fintech funding at $2.2 billion in 9M 2026.

Why it matters for founders

The week belonged to public markets: four IPOs opening within days of each other, with anchor books running into thousands of crores. For private-market founders, the signal is that late-stage capital is rotating toward listings — which means your next round's valuation will be benchmarked against these debuts. Time your raise around the listing calendar, not against it.
