SFC Environmental Technologies, known for its work in wastewater and solid waste management, is opening its IPO on 27 October 2026 to raise Rs 150 crore through new shares, NewsBytes reported on 20 October 2026. Existing shareholders, including promoters Sandeep Sudhakar Asolkar and Saketchandrasingh Pratapsingh Dhandoriya, will sell 1.56 crore shares through an offer for sale (OFS). The issue closes on 29 October 2026 — a quick three-day window.

Water treatment tech goes public

Founded in 2005, SFC has a strong presence in India's water treatment tech scene and holds an order book worth Rs 1,656.5 crore as of August 2026 — more than eleven times the size of the fresh issue. In the fiscal year ended March 2026, profits rose to Rs 154.4 crore and revenue hit Rs 803.6 crore.

The IPO proceeds will be used to pay off debt and boost working capital, giving the company room to convert that order book into delivered projects.

An IPO-packed week

SFC joins a crowded IPO calendar: EAAA India Alternatives opens on 26 October to raise Rs 1,200 crore, while Jio Platforms and Paras Healthcare open on 21 October. It is a busy month for startup funding in India on the public-market side, with cleantech infrastructure sharing the stage with the mega offers.

Why it matters for founders

Cleantech founders often hear that infrastructure businesses cannot list with the multiples software commands — but an Rs 1,656.5 crore order book and Rs 154.4 crore in profit tell a different story. The SFC IPO is a reminder that unglamorous, contract-backed businesses with real earnings can access public markets on their own terms. If your startup has government or industrial contracts in water, waste or energy, the listing playbook is now visibly working.
