Fintech startup RocketPay has raised Rs 10 crore in a funding round led by Sandeep Jain, co-founder of stock broking firm Tradeswift — a notable entry in this week's startup funding in India tally. The round saw participation from Inflection Point Ventures (IPV), LetsVenture, Launch Capital, AVNM Ventures, Navyug Global Ventures, and existing investor All In Capital.

Founded in 2022 by Rishav Dokania, Arpit Bajpai, Ishan Sharma and Kishor Chabbadiya, RocketPay automates loan collections for lenders through UPI Autopay, eNACH and Account Aggregator services. The company is now expanding into wider recovery infrastructure, including technology-based recovery of financed assets — such as smartphones bought on EMI, which can be locked and unlocked on missed payments.

Collections is a growth engine

RocketPay claims its revenue grew 10x between FY24 and FY26, a striking trajectory in a category most founders overlook. Loan collections has historically been a manual, call-centre-heavy business; the startup's bet is that automation plus asset-level enforcement (like device locking) will make recoveries both cheaper and far more effective for lenders.

The breadth of the cap table — six institutions plus the lead — suggests strong conviction in the collections-as-infrastructure thesis, as Indian lenders digitise recovery across secured and unsecured portfolios.

Why it matters for founders

Unsexy back-office problems can produce 10x growth when the timing is right. RocketPay's round is a reminder that fintech value often sits downstream of disbursement — in recovery, reconciliation and risk — where incumbents are weakest and automation is welcome.
