Enrission India Capital, the Japan-based early-stage investor, has invested in Raaho, a Gurugram-based digital freight platform, as part of the company's latest funding round. The investment, reported on October 21, 2026, continues a steady drumbeat of startup funding in India news for logistics tech.
Founded in 2017, Raaho connects logistics companies and 3PL operators with truck owners through digital matching, verification and settlement - replacing the traditional offline broker model, where arranging trucks typically takes 24-48 hours and carries steep fees. The company is growing at approximately 50% year-on-year, with trip volumes up around 75%, and recorded its first full year of profitability in FY26. It operates in around 20 cities.
Enrission India Capital's investment - made through its Enrission SP26 India Investment Fund - will support three priorities: expanding from 20 to 25 cities, entering the open-truck category alongside its container-truck business, and deepening investment in people and technology to become an AI-first business, using AI across load matching, pricing, document processing and customer interactions.
Why Japanese capital is backing Indian trucking
Enrission, founded in 2024 and focused on early-stage startups with IIT ties, said it backed Raaho for combining digital technology with on-ground operations. India has roughly 3.5 million trucking operators, with 75% owning fewer than five trucks - a fragmented market both companies see as ripe for technology-led transformation. Raaho says it has covered more than 100 million kilometres and carried over 1.1 million tonnes, lifting earnings 25% for parties on its network.
Why it matters for founders
Profitability in FY26 plus 50% growth is the combination that keeps capital flowing into freight tech - unit economics first, blitzscaling later. For logistics founders, Raaho's playbook shows that on-ground operations paired with AI matching still beats pure marketplaces.
