Agentic AI credit-management startup Oolka is in advanced talks to raise about $45 million (≈ Rs 430 crore) at a valuation of roughly $200 million, Moneycontrol reports — a round that would double its valuation from about $90 million in April 2026.
Bessemer Venture Partners is expected to put in around $20 million and is the likely lead, with Prosus contributing about $10 million and existing investors Accel, Lightspeed and 8i Ventures adding roughly $15 million.
Founded by Utkrishta Kumar, a former Meesho CXO, Oolka is building an agentic AI platform for credit management. The startup has previously raised about $21 million, and the new round — still in advanced talks, not closed — would be its largest by some distance.
The talks underline how aggressively top-tier VCs are chasing AI-led fintech infrastructure: Bessemer and Prosus both expanding their India fintech books in the same week, even as venture capital stays selective elsewhere.
Why it matters for founders
AI applied to real financial workflows — not chatbots, but credit decisions and collections — is commanding premium valuations and fast follow-on rounds. If you're building in fintech, an agentic product with measurable ROI on lender economics is the fastest path to a top-tier term sheet right now.
