Agritech AI is finding its backers. Myca, an India-based artificial intelligence startup focused on the agribusiness sector, has raised $1.3 million in a pre-seed funding round, with participation from Eximius Ventures, Indigram Labs Foundation and Kriscore Capital.
Myca is led by co-founder and CEO Arnav Pandey, co-founder and CRO Seamus Tardif, and co-founder and CTO Tejas Dinkar. The company builds AI-powered software tailored to the needs of agricultural businesses — a segment where software adoption has historically lagged but where data-driven decision making is becoming a competitive edge.
The fresh capital will go toward expanding Myca's AI-driven platform for the agribusiness industry, scaling its technology and go-to-market capabilities as it onboards more agricultural businesses onto the platform.
The round places Myca in a busy week for AI-first Indian startups — enterprise workflow AI, agentic banking tools and edtech AI platforms all closed rounds in the same window — but agriculture remains one of the least-penetrated verticals for applied AI, giving the startup a wide-open field.
The participation of Eximius Ventures, an early-stage investor known for backing pre-seed founders, alongside Indigram Labs Foundation and Kriscore Capital, signals that institutional investors are increasingly comfortable writing first cheques into AI companies serving unglamorous but enormous sectors.
Why it matters for founders
Agriculture is a trillion-rupee industry with thin software penetration. Myca's $1.3M pre-seed shows early-stage funds are actively hunting for AI plays in agribusiness — if you're building applied AI for farmers, FPOs or agri-input supply chains, the capital is ready before the competition arrives.
