Esports platform Let's Game Now has raised ₹30 crore in a round co-led by Anand Mahindra and Bestvantage Investments, with a UAE-based family office also investing. The deal, announced on 28 October 2026, adds fresh momentum to startup funding in India for gaming and creator-led entertainment.
Founded in 2018 by Santanu Basu, Let's Game Now runs online and offline esports tournaments that connect brands with gamers. The company has organised more than 2,000 events across South Asia and Southeast Asia, and says its gaming community has more than 14 lakh members.
The new capital will be used to build out its Indian Super Gaming League, a format designed to give competitive gaming in India a league structure that brands, audiences and players can follow season after season. Leagues, rather than one-off tournaments, are how esports properties typically turn attention into repeatable revenue.
Anand Mahindra's co-lead role is notable. High-profile individual backers bring more than capital to consumer and community businesses — they bring credibility with sponsors and mainstream audiences who may still be discovering esports.
The broader signal is that Indian gaming is moving from hype to structure: tournaments, leagues, communities and brand partnerships, built over years rather than quarters. Let's Game Now has spent eight years building that base, and this round funds the next, more organised chapter.
Why it matters for founders
Community is the asset in gaming. Two thousand events and 14 lakh members were built before this cheque arrived — founders chasing a league, a tournament or a creator business should build the audience first, because the audience is what sponsors and investors ultimately pay for.
