Indian founders building for pets have until October 18, 2026 (11:59 PM PT — 12:29 PM IST on Monday, October 19) to apply for Leap Venture Studio's eleventh cohort. The accelerator, run jointly by Mars Petcare, TAW Ventures and Michelson Found Animals, is putting out its last call for pet-tech startups — and this round is especially relevant for Indian founders, where pet parenting is booming.

This year the programme is looking for science-backed startups working on feline-first care, senior pet health, dental health and allergies — problem areas where India's first-time pet parents are underserved. A 2024 Mars Petcare survey found 69% of Indian respondents were new pet owners, and veterinary care remains hard to reach for a large share of families.

Eligibility and how to apply

Eligibility: Pet-care startups with a science-backed product or service addressing feline-first care, senior pet health, dental health or allergies. Indian pet-tech founders are explicitly invited to apply.

How to apply: Submit your application through the Leap Venture Studio website before October 18, 2026 at 11:59 PM PT (that's 12:29 PM IST on October 19 — don't let the timezone cost you a seat). Selected startups get in front of some of the biggest names in global pet care, plus mentorship and industry access through Mars Petcare's network.

Why it matters for founders

Pet tech is one of India's fastest-growing consumer categories, and a Mars-backed accelerator is a shortcut to global distribution. If you're building for pets, this weekend is your window — apply before 12:29 PM IST on October 19.
