Le Travenues Technology, the company behind travel platform ixigo, has posted another profitable quarter, reinforcing its standing as one of Indian startup funding's most disciplined public-company success stories. For the quarter ended 30 September 2026, the company reported a consolidated net profit of ₹63.42 crore, with basic earnings per share of ₹1.37 — a sharp swing from a loss of ₹0.08 per share in the year-ago quarter.

Revenue from operations rose 12.92% year-on-year to ₹320.96 crore from ₹284.23 crore, while total income grew 18.53% to ₹343.04 crore. Crucially, expense growth stayed contained: total expenses increased just 6.03% to ₹309.51 crore, showing operating leverage as the business scales. For the half-year ended September 2026, consolidated net profit surged to ₹97.66 crore, up from just ₹15.48 crore in the same period last year, while half-year operating revenue climbed to ₹677.71 crore from ₹600.28 crore.

What the quarter signals

Ixigo's numbers arrive in a quarter when listed new-age companies are being judged on one metric: profitable growth. The company's ability to grow revenue at a double-digit pace while keeping expense growth at half that rate is precisely the operating leverage public-market investors want to see. The board also re-appointed PricewaterhouseCoopers Services LLP as internal auditor through March 2027 and announced the trading window will reopen on 20 October 2026.

For private travel-tech startups eyeing eventual listings, ixigo's journey remains the benchmark: AI-first product, train-led margins, and a path to profit that predated the IPO — not one manufactured after it.

Why it matters for founders

Public markets now reward profitable growth over growth at any cost. Ixigo's 6.3x jump in half-year profit on 12.9% quarterly revenue growth shows the compounding effect of discipline — the exact metric growth investors are asking for before writing late-stage cheques.
