Wipro Consumer Care Ventures funding is one of the most founder-friendly corporate venture routes into India's consumer market. The venture arm of Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting — itself part of Wipro Enterprises, the Azim Premji-led group, and distinct from the listed IT company Wipro Ltd — invests in new-age consumer brands where both sides add value to each other, pairing capital with deep operational knowledge and the ability to scale in India and Southeast Asia.

Investment thesis

The firm's thesis, articulated by Managing Partner Sumit Keshan, is mutual value creation: Wipro Consumer Care Ventures brings not just capital but the operating playbook of a large consumer-goods business — distribution, brand-building and manufacturing know-how — to D2C and new-age consumer brands in India and Southeast Asia. Founded in 2019, the arm has a publicly stated corpus: Fund I at ₹200 crore and Fund II at ₹250 crore, for a combined ₹450 crore across both funds.

Sectors, stages and cheque size

Sectors cover consumer brands: personal care, skin care, home care, wellness, food, fragrances, beauty and e-commerce-driven D2C brands. Stages run from early-stage to Pre-Series A and beyond, with Fund II targeting e-commerce-driven companies from Pre-Series A onwards and taking minority stakes of up to 25%. The average ticket size is US$2–6M, and Fund II plans three to four deals a year.

Notable portfolio and leadership

The 16th investment — and the first from Fund II — was Moi Soi (Ceres Foods), a pan-Asian F&B brand, co-invested with GVFL. The portfolio includes TAC – The Ayurveda Co; a maiden overseas LP bet in Singapore's DSG Consumer Partners IV; Onelife Nutriscience; LetsShave; Let's Try; Soulflower; The Baker's Dozen; Youvit of Indonesia; Power Gummies; Anveshan; and Mimansa. Its first-ever investment, Ustraa (Happily Unmarried) in 2017, was partially exited on the company's merger with VLCC, with Wipro retaining a stake in VLCC; MyGlamm (Good Glamm Group) stands as the sole profitable exit so far, and the firm is planning a couple of strategic exits from Fund I. The arm is led by Sumit Keshan, Managing Partner (also Head of M&A for India), with Vineet Agrawal as CEO of Wipro Consumer Care & Lighting.

How to get funding from Wipro Consumer Care Ventures

There is no public application route for Wipro Consumer Care Ventures funding: the firm has no standalone official website and no public pitch or application page, and deals are sourced directly and announced via press. Founders typically engage through direct sourcing, warm introductions or co-investor networks — the arm announced its Moi Soi co-investment alongside GVFL, so relationships with its co-investors and the broader Indian D2C ecosystem are the realistic path in.

Why it matters for founders

For consumer-brand founders, few investors bring a working FMCG distribution machine alongside the cheque. With ₹450 crore across two funds, average tickets of US$2–6M and a stated appetite for pre-Series A D2C brands, Wipro Consumer Care Ventures is a strong target — but with no public pitch door, access runs on relationships.
