Ring Capital is a Paris-based impact investment firm that directs capital towards vital solutions for major social and environmental challenges. Founded in 2017, the firm manages €470 million in assets under management — 100% of it dedicated to impact — across more than 60 portfolio companies in 9 countries.

Investment thesis

Ring Capital's conviction is that impact and growth cannot be separated: the greater the performance, the greater the impact. It invests in companies at every stage of maturity, from pre-seed to growth, that put impact at the heart of their business model — fostering a low-carbon economy, empowering innovative and inclusive services, and exploring sustainable agricultural practices. Its funds address both conventional and non-profit models, and the firm supports entrepreneurs with operational expertise spanning HR, impact measurement, go-to-market and technology so that impact scales alongside revenue.

Sectors and stage

Ring Capital runs several specialised strategies. Ring Mission is its venture fund for startups whose core business addresses social or environmental issues. Ring Altitude is a growth buy-out fund writing tickets of €10 million to €25 million into companies with over €10 million in revenue, across energy, health, education and mobility — its second vintage, Altitude II, closed at €217 million with anchors including Tikehau Capital, Bpifrance and the European Investment Fund. Ring Generations, built with EDHEC Business School, backs pre-seed and seed companies, while Ring Africa invests early-stage in West African startups. Sectors across the platform include energy, healthcare, education, mobility, IoT, HR tech and sustainable agriculture, primarily in Europe and Africa.

Notable portfolio

Portfolio companies include Karos, the mobile carpooling app building a new public-transport system; LeHibou, a marketplace for IT freelancers focused on the inclusion of seniors and women; Enerin, the Norwegian maker of high-temperature industrial heat pumps; En Carta Diagnostics in diagnostic equipment; Enerdigit, which provides flexibility solutions for the electricity network; and Téo, working to guarantee visual health access across France. The firm reports 60+ portfolio companies, all screened for measurable social or environmental impact.

Partners

Ring Capital was co-founded by Geoffroy Bragadir (web entrepreneur and founder of Empruntis) and Nicolas Celier (former partner at Alven Capital), both Managing Partners. The wider leadership includes General Partners Laurent Babut, Marie-Capucine Lemétais, Pierre-Alexis de Vauplane and Eric Querenet, plus partners Charlotte Lafont, Daphné Dupont-Gurs and Anthony Guillen, a dedicated Chief Impact Officer and an operating team supporting portfolio companies.

How to apply for funding from Ring Capital

Ring Capital does not run a public rolling application form. Founders are typically sourced through the firm's ecosystem, its co-investor network and direct outreach. The firm's website at ringcp.com sets out its strategies and team — founders building impact-first companies in Europe or Africa can reach the relevant strategy team through the contact routes listed there, ideally with a warm introduction through a shared investor or partner.

Why it matters for founders

If impact sits at the core of your business model rather than in a footnote, Ring Capital is one of Europe's few large funds where that is a requirement, not a nice-to-have. With €470 million across pre-seed to growth stages, it can follow you from first cheque to scale — a rarity among impact investors.
