LAUNCHub Ventures is a Sofia-based early-stage fund that has spent over a decade building Central and Southeastern Europe's startup ecosystem. Founded in 2012, it backs pre-seed and seed-stage tech startups across CEE and SEE, plus diaspora founders building globally from hubs such as London, Berlin and Silicon Valley. For founders in one of Europe's fastest-growing but still underfunded regions, it is often the first institutional investor that understands their market.
Thesis
LAUNCHub Ventures backs conviction, founders who go beyond what is expected. Its approach is broad on sector but disciplined on ambition: scalable early-stage ventures with traction, led by founders who can compete internationally. It brings hands-on support, strategic insight and regional experience to help teams turn momentum into lasting impact.
Sectors & Stages
The firm invests at pre-seed and seed stage, with follow-on reserves for Series A. Its mandate spans AI, SaaS, fintech, healthtech, proptech, devtools, marketplaces, future of work, hardware and robotics. It concentrates on Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Slovenia, Serbia and the wider Western Balkans, plus the broader CEE region and its diaspora. Its recent deals have leaned heavily toward AI.
Fund & Cheque Size
LAUNCHub Ventures announced the first close of its third fund at €65 million, targeting a final size of more than €75 million. Across its first two funds it has backed nearly 100 companies, with more than €100 million under management, and its portfolio companies have raised over €700 million in follow-on funding. Fund III plans around 25 investments over five years, with initial cheques of €300,000 to €3 million and rounds led or co-led up to €7 million. Around 75% of portfolio companies raised a follow-on round; roughly 40% reached Series A.
Notable Portfolio
Its portfolio includes Ampeco (EV-charging software), FintechOS (fintech), Colossyan (AI video), Giraffe360 (real-estate marketing), Veridion (business intelligence), Ferryhopper and Lace. The firm has recorded 18 exits, including SPLX, acquired by Zscaler in 2025, FITE, acquired by Triller, and OfficeRnD, acquired by Blue Star. Portfolio companies have since raised from Founders Fund, Sequoia, Index Ventures and Insight Partners.
Partners & Programs
Leadership includes Todor Breshkov, Stanislav Sirakov, Rumen Iliev and Irina Dimitrova, alongside newly promoted general partners Raya Yunakova and Petar Tsachev. Fund III is backed by the European Investment Fund, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, regional entrepreneurs, family offices and more than 10 exited portfolio founders. Its flagship programme, the Series A Academy, builds the traction, structure and investor readiness founders need for their next round.
