Kamay Ventures is Latin America's first multi-corporate venture capital fund, headquartered in Buenos Aires and backed by some of the region's biggest consumer companies. It invests in startups reshaping the consumer packaged goods value chain, and pairs capital with something most funds cannot offer: real buyers inside the corporations that feed a continent.
Thesis
Kamay Ventures believes corporations grow when they play alongside startups, not above them. Its model, which it calls Dual Alpha, combines disciplined selection with commercial acceleration, turning real operating problems into signed contracts. The firm reports 226 proofs of concept designed and 32 contracts signed and running across its ecosystem, with access to roughly 6 million points of sale, 305 production plants and 1,900 distribution centres across its partners' operations.
Sectors & Stages
Kamay Ventures invests at seed and pre-Series A across six vectors of the consumer goods chain: agtech, environment, Industry 4.0, logistics, fintech, point-of-sale automation and foodtech, now framed as intelligent operations, financial rails, data clarity, efficiency, future-ready supply chains and smart energy. It invests across Latin America, with portfolio companies in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, Peru, Uruguay and Panama.
Fund & Cheque Size
Kamay Ventures has not publicly disclosed a total fund size. Third-party directories report tickets in the US$100,000 to US$500,000 range, and the fund was launched in 2019 with backing from The Coca-Cola Company and Grupo Arcor, later joined by Grupo Bimbo, IDB Lab and the US Development Finance Corporation. Its portfolio counts 23 companies across six verticals.
Notable Portfolio
Kamay Ventures' portfolio includes AltScore, a fintech scoring platform, Kilimo, which helps prove water was used well in irrigation, Sensify, a cold-chain monitoring platform covering 53,000 coolers, Solfium, a solar energy company, DeepAgro, Wisy, LogShare, Wiagro, Zippin and Webee. Its case studies cite results such as more than 12 million cubic metres of water restored with Kilimo and a 36 percent energy cut with Sensify.
Partners & Programs
Kamay Ventures is independently managed by Overboost, the accelerator behind its launch, and its corporate backers act as mentors in marketing, sales, logistics, human resources and legal matters. Its flagship programme is Kamay Code, an event bringing entrepreneurs and corporate leaders together that has run six editions across Latin America, drawing more than 3,500 participants, 1,400 startups and 700 corporates. No credits or perks programme is published.
How to apply for funding
Founders can apply directly through the application form on Kamay Ventures' official website, kamayventures.com. The firm says technology must be validated, so applicants should arrive with a working product and a clear answer to one question: which corporate problem, inside the consumer goods chain, does this solve first?
Why it matters for founders
For Latin American founders selling into food, retail or logistics, Kamay Ventures offers distribution that is almost impossible to buy. If your product needs a corporate customer to prove itself, this is one of the fastest routes to one.
