Investible is a Sydney-based early-stage venture capital firm founded in 2014 that backs technology founders from pre-seed through to Series A. Its stated mission is to back the founders advancing humanity through technology, and it says it has partnered with more than 150 companies across Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, Europe and North America.
Thesis
Investible describes a new model of venture capital: its funds invest alongside Club Investible, a global investor syndicate of more than 250 members including founders, executives and investors. Members invest alongside the funds, refer deals and support portfolio companies, so a startup gets operators as well as capital. The firm says its methodology assesses up to 200 data points, and that diversification by industry, geography and business model is central to managing early-stage risk.
Sectors & Stages
Investible invests from pre-seed through to Series A, with capacity for follow-on growth investment into later rounds. It runs a generalist multi-sector fund and a sector-focused climate tech fund, both investing at the same early stages. The climate fund targets decarbonisation across logistics, biodiversity, agriculture and the circular economy. Geographically it focuses primarily on Australian startups, but has also invested in the United States, Canada, Israel and New Zealand.
Fund & Cheque Size
Investible launched its first venture capital fund in 2018 and closed it at $22 million in committed capital, above its initial $20 million target, planning around 15 new investments a year. Its Climate Tech Fund had over $30 million in commitments when it announced its first eight investments. The size of the current generalist vehicle, Investible Early Stage Fund 3, is not publicly disclosed, and the firm's typical cheque size is not publicly disclosed either.
Notable Portfolio
Investible counts Canva, Car Next Door, Ipsy and Brandless among its early investments, and its first fund's early portfolio included Dexibit, Hotelmize and WORK180. Its Climate Tech Fund opened with Kite Magnetics, CIM, ZeroJet, Digital Harvest, Emmi, Xylo Systems, Rntr and Spot Ship, drawn from four countries. Car Next Door founder Will Davies has said Investible led the company's earliest round and that its credibility and market knowledge were invaluable.
Partners & Programs
Beyond its funds, Investible runs Club Investible and founder development programs designed to help early teams source, screen and scale. The firm says its first fund screened around 1,300 opportunities in its first 15 months before narrowing to a diversified portfolio. That screening depth is part of the pitch to founders: a structured, data-led process rather than a single partner's gut feel.
How to apply for funding
Founders should approach Investible through its official website, investible.com, where it sets out its investment process and its funds. The strongest fit is a pre-seed to Series A technology or tech-enabled company, ideally with an Australian, New Zealand or Southeast Asian base. Come prepared with evidence of early traction and a realistic plan for follow-on rounds, since the firm explicitly reserves capacity for continued growth investment.
Why it matters for founders
Investible offers early-stage founders fund capital plus a 250-member syndicate of operators who co-invest and help. If you are raising pre-seed to Series A in Australia, New Zealand or Southeast Asia, it is a credible first institutional conversation, especially in climate tech.
