India Global Forum, usually known as IGF, is not a conventional venture fund. It is a global affairs organisation that convenes business leaders, policymakers and investors around contemporary India, and in November 2025 it unveiled a $250 million fund to help Indian consumer and industrial brands expand globally. The fund was announced at IGF Middle East 2025: NXT Frontiers in Dubai, with Dubai as the launchpad for expansion.

Investment thesis

The thesis is that India is producing brands ready for the world, but many lack market access, logistics and local partnerships to scale abroad. India Global Forum argues Dubai is the natural launchpad, because of its connectivity, trade infrastructure and position between India and fast growing regional markets. The fund therefore combines growth capital with market access and logistics support, rather than capital alone. It is anchored by Ved Family Office, the private investment arm of Nilesh Ved of Apparel Group, and Ananta Capital, led by Ashutosh Taparia. IGF founder and chairman Manoj Ladwa described it as unlocking a new era in which Indian entrepreneurship meets world class infrastructure and international demand.

Sectors and stages

The $250 million fund and its dedicated Accelerator Programme focus on high potential Indian companies across food and beverage, consumer brands, chemicals, automotive, advanced manufacturing and industrial products. Target markets are the Middle East, Africa, Europe and beyond, with Dubai as the hub. IGF says it will work with partners to identify companies with strong brands, global scalability and a compelling value proposition for international markets. No per company cheque size was publicly disclosed at launch, so founders should not assume a standard seed or Series A ticket. This is a growth and expansion vehicle for companies that already have a brand and a product that can travel, not a pre revenue incubator.

Notable portfolio / track record

At launch, the India Global Forum fund had announced no portfolio companies of its own, and founders should not mistake its anchor investors' earlier deals for fund investments. Its track record is IGF's convening record, not an investment record. IGF Middle East 2025: NXT Frontiers brought together 90 senior leaders from government, global corporations, venture capital, advanced technology, academia and next generation enterprises. Ananta Capital, one anchor, has previously backed BellaVita, Open Secret and LiquiLoans, which shows the consumer and fintech judgement it brings, but those are Ananta investments, not investments by the new IGF fund.

How to apply for funding

No open application form for the India Global Forum fund was published in its launch announcement, so founders should not look for a standard online pitch form or pay anyone claiming to sell access. The stated route is through IGF's network and its Accelerator Programme: participating companies receive tailored market entry support and curated introductions to investors, partners and potential customers. In practice, engage with IGF through its forums, membership and partnership channels on its official site, indiaglobalforum.com, and present a clear expansion case: which market to enter first, why Dubai is the right hub, what distribution you need, and what capital would unlock.

Why it matters for founders

India Global Forum's $250 million fund matters because it treats going global as a logistics and network problem, not just a capital problem. For an Indian consumer or industrial brand ready to expand from Dubai into the Middle East, Africa and Europe, growth capital plus DP World logistics and curated introductions is a distinctive offer.
