Atlanta-based Fulcrum Equity Partners, founded in 2006, is a growth equity firm that gives entrepreneurs capital and hands-on support to take their companies further, faster. It focuses on two sectors it knows deeply, B2B software and healthcare services, and it invests across the US Southeast and beyond, in both minority and majority growth deals.

Investment thesis

Fulcrum targets rapidly growing companies led by strong entrepreneurs and management teams. Its published criteria are demanding and specific: healthcare services companies with $1 million to $15 million of EBITDA growing at more than 20% a year, and B2B software companies with $2 million to $15 million of annual recurring revenue growing at more than 40% a year. The partners are former operators, and the pitch is practical help building systems, processes, teams and culture, not just capital.

Cheque size and fund size

Fulcrum invests $5 million to $35 million of equity per company in minority and majority growth opportunities. Its most recent fund, Fulcrum Fund V, closed oversubscribed at $372 million in 2024, following Fulcrum Growth Fund III at $203 million in 2017, a $93 million second fund in 2013 and a $40 million first fund in 2006. The firm has said it manages over $600 million, and its limited partners include more than 100 current or former business owners and CEOs.

Notable portfolio companies

Fulcrum led web-exposure platform Reflectiz's $22 million Series B in October 2025, backed post-acute care platform Olio Health with a $13 million Series A, and invested $7.5 million in driver-recruiting platform DriverReach. Other portfolio names include Kobiton, Summit Spine & Joint Centers (sold in 2021), Full Measure Education and Navigator CRE. Founding partners Jeffrey Muir, Thomas Greer and Frank Dalton lead the firm, with Chad Hooker promoted to partner in September 2025.

Programs, credits and perks

Fulcrum runs no public accelerator or startup credits programme. Its distinctive asset is its investor base: more than 100 current or former CEOs among its limited partners act as a working network for portfolio companies, offering deal referrals, diligence help and strategic introductions alongside the partners' own operating experience.

How to apply for funding

Fulcrum Equity Partners has no open application portal. The route in is a warm introduction through a portfolio founder, one of its CEO limited partners or a Southeast co-investor, or a direct approach via the contact routes on fulcrumep.com. Founders should arrive with the numbers Fulcrum publishes: the EBITDA or recurring-revenue range and the growth rate it asks for, plus a clear use of $5 million to $35 million of growth equity.

Why it matters for founders

Fulcrum Equity Partners is a strong target for B2B software and healthcare services founders in the Southeast and beyond who already have serious revenue and growth, and who want an operator-led partner rather than a distant cheque. If your numbers clear its published bars, the firm's CEO network alone is worth the conversation.
