EAAA India Alternatives Limited — the alternative investment arm of the Edelweiss group, formerly known as Edelweiss Alternative Asset Advisors — is opening a ₹1,200 crore IPO on 26 October 2026 at a price band of ₹1,585–1,665 per share, implying a valuation of up to ₹10,765 crore. One thing to state plainly up front: EAAA India Alternatives is an institutional alternative asset manager, not a startup funder — so this profile is about how the firm operates, not a route to startup funding.
The IPO: ₹1,200 crore, entirely an offer for sale
The issue is entirely an Offer for Sale by promoter Edelweiss Securities & Investments Pvt Ltd — no fresh capital goes to the company. The schedule: opens 26 October 2026, closes 28 October, anchor bidding on 23 October, allotment on 29 October, and listing on BSE and NSE on 2 November 2026. The price band is ₹1,585–1,665 per share at a face value of ₹5, implying a valuation of up to ₹10,765 crore. It would be the third Indian alternative asset manager to list, after Gaja Alternative Asset Management (August 2026) and Nisus Finance (December 2024) — and a second attempt after SEBI stalled the first filing on disclosure observations; the company refiled in January 2026 and was approved in April 2026. The issue was originally planned at ₹1,500 crore and was reduced after the promoter sold 4.4% privately for ₹375 crore in March.
Scale and strategy: ₹44,710 crore in fee-paying assets
EAAA acts as investment manager for SEBI-registered AIFs. As of 31 March 2026 it reported fee-paying assets under management of ₹44,710 crore — roughly 60% real assets and 40% private credit. Its FY26 numbers (year ended March 2026): net profit of ₹265 crore, revenue of about ₹870 crore, and management/advisory fees of ₹579 crore. Its platform spans nine strategies: Infrastructure Yield; Commercial Real Estate Yield; Perpetual Capital (Listed InvITs); Energy Transition; Private Equity; Performing Credit; Investment Grade Credit; Real Estate Credit; and Special Situations. Offices sit in Mumbai, New Delhi, GIFT City and Singapore, and its LPs include pension funds and insurers from the US, Canada, Europe and Australia alongside domestic institutions, family offices and HNIs.
What this means for founders
To be direct: EAAA India Alternatives does not invest in startups, run accelerators or offer credits and perks — there is no founder application route, and any profile that pretended otherwise would mislead. The founder-relevant signal is institutional: India’s alternatives industry is maturing to the point of going public, and a ₹44,710 crore yield-and-credit platform listing on 2 November is a datapoint on where Indian private capital is deepening — credit, real assets and energy transition.
How to apply for funding
There is no startup funding route, and we say so plainly. The honest contact channels — for institutional or strategic deal enquiries only — are [email protected] and +91 (22) 4009 4700, with the registered office at Edelweiss House, Off C.S.T. Road, Kalina, Mumbai 400098.
Why it matters for founders
EAAA’s ₹1,200 crore listing on 2 November is a milestone for India’s private-capital ecosystem — not a new source of startup cheques. Read it as a market signal on credit and yield strategies, and look elsewhere for your funding round.
