Startup funding in India keeps finding conversational AI for the workforce: Hyderabad-based Hunar.AI has received a ₹3 crore investment from haf.vc, a SEBI-registered Category-I venture capital fund built on the legacy of the Hyderabad Angels.
AI for frontline hiring
Founded in 2022 by Krishna Khandelwal and Shantanu Bhattacharyya, Hunar.AI builds conversational AI agents that hire, onboard, train and engage frontline workers across languages, through voice and WhatsApp — aimed at businesses that recruit and manage large workforces across locations.
The investment will be used for AI infrastructure, product development, sales and market expansion of its multilingual AI hiring and engagement solutions. “Investing alongside Blume Ventures and a strong syndicate reflects how haf.vc now works: Hyderabad capital backing the best founders across India,” said Kalyan Sivalenka, Managing Partner of haf.vc.
Blume Ventures is also backing Hunar.AI, per the fund’s statement — a sign that investor interest in voice-first workforce AI keeps building.
Why it matters for founders
Angel-network spin-out funds like haf.vc are writing early cheques outside the usual metro-VC circuit. If your startup serves Bharat’s frontline workforce, there is dedicated capital close to home.
