Startup funding in India is also arriving in agentic commerce. L Catterton has made a strategic investment in Glance, an AI-powered personal shopping platform backed by technology company InMobi. The amount was not disclosed.

Why this round stands out

Glance said the investment, announced on 26 October 2026, is its first new equity fundraising in over four years. L Catterton, which manages approximately $40 billion in equity capital, said it will bring consumer expertise, operating capabilities and its global network to support Glance's expansion, with a particular focus on the US.

What Glance does

Glance works like a personal shopper: it remembers user preferences, scours the web for deals, offers virtual try-ons and seeks approval before buying. Founder and CEO Naveen Tewari called it an intelligence machine that understands the right products and finds the best price. Scott Dahnke, global CEO of L Catterton, said agentic commerce is fundamentally changing how consumers discover and shop for products.

Glance has 10 million monthly active users in the US, averaging about 120 shopping prompts each a month, with almost 15% buying something monthly. The service reaches more than 60 million devices through an app and partnerships with Samsung, Android TV and DIRECTV, and has partnered with Google on AI shopping and brought PayPal-powered shopping to tens of millions of US consumers.

Glance previously secured $200 million from Jio Platforms in February 2022, at an estimated enterprise valuation between $1.7 billion and $1.8 billion, and Google led a $145 million investment round in December 2020.

Why it matters for founders

For founders, Glance shows that distribution decides agentic commerce: the AI matters, but being on 60 million devices through Samsung, Android TV and DIRECTV is what turns a shopping agent into a habit. Win the device and the checkout before you chase the cleverest model.
