Deadline: the issue opened for subscription on Wednesday, October 14 and closes on Friday, October 16. AI-powered customer experience solutions provider Fusion CX Ltd has raised ₹315 crore from anchor investors at ₹289 per equity share ahead of its ₹702 crore initial public offering, according to an exchange filing.

The anchor allocation included domestic mutual funds Kotak Mahindra Mutual Fund, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund, Quant Mutual Fund, ITI Mutual Fund and JM Financial Mutual Fund, besides Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance, Bengal Finance and Investment, and foreign portfolio investors including Loomis Sayles Global Emerging Markets Equity Fund and Meru Investment Fund. Of the 1,09,30,795 equity shares allotted to anchors, 77.84% went to six domestic mutual funds through 15 schemes.

Investor commitment before listing

Kotak Mahindra Life Insurance acquired shares worth ₹15 crore, taking its total investment in Fusion CX to ₹65 crore — it had earlier invested ₹50 crore through a secondary transaction. Bengal Finance and Investment, backed by investor Ashish Kacholia, acquired shares worth ₹20 crore, taking his total to ₹55 crore after a ₹35 crore secondary investment announced on October 11. The price band is fixed at ₹275–289 per share, implying a post-issue market capitalisation of over ₹4,170 crore at the upper end.

Why it matters for founders

Anchor books are the market's early verdict: domestic mutual funds taking 78% of Fusion CX's anchor book signals strong institutional comfort with the AI-customer-experience story. For founders eyeing public markets, note how Kacholia built his position in stages — secondary, then anchor — de-risking the listing for everyone.
