EAAA India Alternatives Ltd, an arm of Edelweiss Financial Services, will open its ₹1,200 crore initial public offering for subscription on October 26, PTI reported on October 20, 2026. The issue will close on October 28, with anchor investor bidding scheduled for October 23.

The issue is entirely an offer for sale by Edelweiss Group with no fresh issue component — the company will receive no proceeds, with the entire amount going to the selling shareholder. The price band has been set at ₹1,585–₹1,665 per share.

The IPO has been scaled down from the ₹1,500 crore proposed in the draft red herring prospectus filed with SEBI in January; the RHP was filed on October 19. Incorporated in 2008, EAAA is among India's leading alternative investment platforms with over 15 years of experience managing long-term capital, with assets under management of ₹95,344.8 crore across real assets and private credit, and June-quarter profit up 45%.

The offering adds to a busy IPO week: the source notes that SEC Environmental Technologies is also gearing up for an October 27 launch, while startup and growth capital markets in India continue to see record listing activity this quarter.

Why it matters for founders

A pure OFS listing by India's alternative-asset managers signals how deep the liquidity pool behind startup funding in India has become — private credit and real-asset platforms are now IPO-grade businesses themselves. For founders raising debt or structured capital, EAAA's scale is a reminder that alternatives players, not just banks, belong on the lender shortlist.
