Credfix, an AI-first platform for debt resolution, has raised ₹16.1 crore in seed funding led by Tanglin Venture Partners, with participation from Stargazer, reported on 7 October 2026.
The Bengaluru-based startup works with financially distressed borrowers to help them regain control of their financial future, using proprietary AI to make the path out of debt more transparent and accessible. The fresh capital will accelerate product innovation, strengthen its AI capabilities and expand its borrower support ecosystem.
Before this round, Credfix had raised ₹4.5 crore from K2 Capital, Invstt Trust and a group of angel investors. The company says it currently serves more than 2 lakh borrowers, representing over ₹4,000 crore in aggregate outstanding debt.
The round marks Tanglin Venture Partners — the Singapore-and-Bengaluru early-stage fund led by former Tiger Global executive Ravi Venkatesh — doubling down on the collections-tech space, a category already validated by Credgenics' $50 million Series B in 2023.
Why it matters for founders
Debt resolution is having its moment: ₹4,000 crore of outstanding debt across 2 lakh borrowers is real scale for a seed-stage fintech. The lesson — categories investors once ignored (collections, recoveries) become fundable when you productise them with AI and borrower-side trust.
