Creaegis is a homegrown growth-stage investment firm headquartered in Bengaluru, founded in 2018 by Prakash Parthasarathy, the former managing partner and chief investment officer of Premji Invest. Through Premji Invest, Parthasarathy had earlier backed names such as Lenskart, Myntra and software unicorn Amagi — and Creaegis was built to carry that digital-and-technology investing playbook into growth-stage Indian startups.
The firm's thesis is deliberately sector-agnostic: it chases digital transformation use-cases that solve real inefficiencies, backing solid, resilient business models rather than hype cycles. Its maiden fund closed in September 2023 at about $426 million (Rs 3,500 crore), making it one of the largest debut funds raised by a first-time Indian fund manager. Nearly half the corpus came from domestic investors, alongside prominent family offices across India, the US, Europe and Asia and institutional backers including the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
Creaegis writes average cheques of $25–40 million, builds a concentrated portfolio of 12–15 companies, backs roughly four companies a year, and reserves capital to double down on winners. At the time of the maiden close it had already deployed roughly one-third of the corpus — about $142 million — into at least five companies.
Notable portfolio companies include healthtech platform Medikabazaar, insurtech player Zopper, enterprise SaaS firm Kale Logistics, healthcare-messaging platform Doceree — whose $35 million Series B Creaegis led in September 2023 — and Third Wave Coffee. It also led employee-benefits platform Onsurity's Series B (Rs 219 crore, per RoC filings), omnichannel jeweller Giva's $53 million Series C at a $465 million valuation, and most recently led AI startup Ema's $77 million Series B in September 2026 alongside Accel and Prosus. The firm manages its India AIF through the CIF II Scheme I, a SEBI-registered Category II Alternative Investment Fund.
Key people: Managing Partner Prakash Parthasarathy leads the firm. Creaegis runs no accelerator or credits programme of its own; its value-add is growth-stage operator-style engagement with portfolio founders.
The group also runs a Singapore arm, Creaegis Advisors Pte. Ltd., which holds a Capital Markets Services licence from the Monetary Authority of Singapore and is registered with the US SEC as an investment adviser — useful for founders with cross-border ambitions. Deal activity shows a preference for leading competitive rounds: its $35 million Doceree Series B came alongside Eight Roads Ventures and F-Prime Capital, while its $53 million Giva Series C brought in Premji Invest, Epiq Capital and the Edelweiss Discovery Fund. Nearly half of the maiden fund's corpus came from domestic investors — a deliberate India-first capital mix.
