Startup funding in India is flowing into healthcare AI: healthtech startup Confido Health has raised $12.5 million in a Series A round led by Z47, with participation from existing investors Together Fund and Blume Ventures. The round was announced on October 15, 2026.
The company will deploy the capital to scale its AI platform, which automates administrative processes and supports healthcare operations. Founded in 2022 by Chetan Reddy and Vichar Shroff, Confido Health builds AI agents that manage routine healthcare tasks — appointment bookings, insurance verification and care coordination — through a no-code deployment process the company says takes under five minutes.
Why startup funding India investors are betting on healthcare AI
The platform integrates with over 50 systems, including electronic health records, practice management software, telephone systems, billing platforms and fax systems, so providers can adopt it without replacing existing infrastructure. Confido Health currently serves around 3,200 healthcare providers across more than 1,500 care sites in 27 states, and says one in every 50 patients can now reach their provider through its AI agents.
The company reports 15-fold growth since its previous round, with AI agents achieving handle rates above 95% on key end-to-end administrative workflows — claiming operational capacity equivalent to three to five full-time employees within three months of implementation. It is targeting ophthalmology and optometry, physical therapy, dental care, primary care and community care.
This follows a $10 million Series A announced in September and a $3 million seed round in December 2024 led by Together Fund.
Why it matters for founders
Three funding events in 16 months and 15x growth is the profile of a healthtech startup selling outcomes, not software — 'capacity of 3-5 employees in 3 months' is a revenue story. For AI founders, note the wedge: boring administrative workflows in a sector with acute staff shortages.
