Applications close 27 October 2026. The Centre for Cellular and Molecular Platforms (C-CAMP), through its Centre of Excellence for Sustainability & Climate Action and supported by the Ashraya Hastha Trust, has opened the 1st Call for Validation of Field-Ready Climate Solutions — a national call for Indian innovators with deployment-ready climate technologies that need real-world, on-field validation.
Selected projects can receive funding support of up to Rs 50 lakh for joint on-field technology validation pilots, alongside curated government and industry connections for future scale-up, pilot facilitation and deep ecosystem access, The Hindu reported. The call sits at the intersection of climate change, environment, health and agriculture — seeking breakthrough, field-ready solutions rather than lab-stage ideas.
The programme focuses on three themes: climate and environment (bioenergy, bioplastics, waste management, circularity, industrial green-tech, synthetic biology), climate and health (climate-linked disease surveillance, air and water quality, pandemic preparedness, climate-resilient healthcare delivery), and climate-resilient agriculture. It is open to Indian startups and companies; notably, even mature companies with deployment-ready technologies that are not seeking investment can engage for labs, mentorship and validation access.
Selection is multi-stage: online application screening, a virtual pitch before an expert committee, an in-person pitch for finalists, and due diligence. The call follows C-CAMP's first climate cohort — 11 startups under its first climate cohort — and this new round is specifically for solutions ready to prove themselves in the field.
Why it matters for founders
Climate startups die in the valley between a working prototype and a paying deployment — field pilots are expensive and hard to arrange. Rs 50 lakh plus facilitated pilots and government connects directly attacks that gap. If your climate tech works in the lab, this call buys you the evidence investors and buyers actually trust.
