Bengaluru, October 8, 2026: Bengaluru will host the first edition of Bangalore Climate Data Week (BLR-CDW) 2026 from October 12 to 16 — a city-wide platform focused on accelerating the implementation of data and AI to solve real-world climate challenges.
The week-long convening will feature 30+ partner-led events hosted across Bengaluru, and is expected to bring together over 2,000 attendees, including researchers, climate-tech founders, investors, policymakers, corporates, technologists and practitioners. The initiative is organised by the Climate Collective Foundation (CCF), with Google as Anchor Partner and the Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM), the Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society (KITS) and Startup Karnataka as State Innovation Partners.
The programme is organised as a city-wide series of events, with ecosystem organisations hosting their own summits, workshops, working sessions, startup pitches, networking sessions and climate career fairs. Google is also the Anchor Partner for the flagship AI for Climate Tech Summit 2026, and will co-host the AI for Resilience Tech Summit 2026 with CCF.
Discussions will cover climate-risk modelling and decision-support tools, clean technologies in buildings and data centres, the circular economy, resilience and clean mobility. CCF co-founder Nalin Agarwal said India has strong communities in both climate technology and data, but they often operate in silos — the Week is designed to create intersections, from applying AI for industrial decarbonisation to building a strong climate workforce.
For climate-tech founders, the Week is a concentrated shot at investors, corporates and policymakers — plus startup pitches and a climate career fair for hiring. It is one of the largest climate-data gatherings India has seen.
Why it matters for founders
Climate tech is where India's deeptech capital is quietly concentrating, and this week compresses the entire ecosystem — capital, customers and policy — into five days in Bengaluru. If you are building in climate, energy or industrial decarbonisation, get to the startup pitches; if you are hiring, the climate career fair is your talent pool.
