Startup founders in Maharashtra's Marathwada region have a new on-ramp: Atal Incubation Centre-BAMU Foundation has announced Ignition 4.0, a three-day startup bootcamp running from 29 to 31 October 2026 at Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.

Open to students, early-stage founders, innovators and researchers, the bootcamp aims to turn ideas into viable ventures through mentorship, workshops, product building and investor exposure. Interested candidates can register by 22 October 2026.

Three stages: Ignite, Innovate, Invest

Day one, Ignite, covers a keynote, design-thinking workshops, team formation and idea validation. Day two, Innovate, focuses on prototyping, a hackathon sprint and MVP testing. Day three, Invest, brings pitch training, a grand pitching session before a jury, an investor summit and an awards ceremony.

Priority will go to ideas in social innovation, rural startups, clean energy, electric vehicles and solar energy — sectors where Tier-2 India has structural advantages in deployment and feedback.

Why bootcamps like this matter

Programmes such as Ignition 4.0 compress months of founder education into 72 hours and, crucially, put early-stage teams in a room with investors. For founders outside the metro ecosystems, that access is the scarce resource — and registration is still open until 22 October.

Why it matters for founders

If you are building in Marathwada or nearby and sitting on an idea, Ignition 4.0 is a low-cost way to validate fast and meet investors in one weekend. The priority sectors — clean energy, EVs, rural startups — also map to where government and CSR money is moving. Register by 22 October.
