247 VC is a Mumbai-based seed-stage venture capital firm founded in 2025 by Yagnesh Sanghrajka and Shashank Randev — two operators-turned-investors who earlier co-founded 100X.VC, one of India's most active early-stage funds, before leaving in late 2024 to start afresh. With decades of operating and investing experience between them, the duo positioned the new firm as a research-and-data-driven investor built specifically for India's technology inflection.
The fund and the thesis
247 VC Fund I is registered with SEBI as a Category II Alternative Investment Fund, with a base corpus of ₹200 crore and a ₹50 crore greenshoe option, targeting ₹250 crore in total. The plan is to back around 30 startups over three years, with initial cheques of ₹3–4 crore and appetite for follow-on rounds (the firm describes its sweet spot as ₹4–5 crore). Roughly half the corpus is earmarked for first cheques, the rest reserved for follow-ons.
The thesis zeroes in on four themes: Advanced Manufacturing, Deep Tech, Enterprise Tech, and Consumer Tech. Randev has described the firm as research-driven, hunting for technology shifts at TRL 3–5 — the zone where research starts moving toward real-world deployment — across AI, quantum, advanced materials, spacetech and manufacturing. The firm's stated aim is to co-invest with larger funds as its seed bets mature.
Track record and team
The firm calls itself operator-led, and the team's bench matches that: Yagnesh Sanghrajka (Founder & Managing Partner) leads fund strategy and portfolio development; Shashank Randev (Founder & General Partner) drives sourcing and value creation; Kruti Raiyani serves as Principal; and Khushi Agarwal as Investment Analyst. In their earlier roles at 100X.VC, the founding partners backed startups including Knight Fintech, abCoffee, EMO Energy, Zeron, Stupa Sports Analytics, Spare8, Vodex, 50Fin and Breathe ESG. The fund's early backers include Sachin Tagra (JSW Ventures), Vivek Mathur (ex-Elevation Capital) and AI researcher Shailendra Majmundar of Johns Hopkins University.
One of the firm's first headline deals was leading Dream Aerospace's ₹10 crore pre-Series A alongside Campus Angels Network — an IIT Kanpur-incubated spacetech company building India's first indigenous green chemical propulsion system for small satellites.
Beyond cheques: the Galgotias programme
247 VC also runs the Entrepreneurship & Venture Excellence (EVE) Program in partnership with Galgotias University — a long-term campus collaboration giving students startup-building frameworks, investor mentorship and exposure to institutional capital, with a dedicated on-campus VC engagement presence.
Why it matters for founders
If you are building at the intersection of hard technology and scale — advanced manufacturing, deep tech, or enterprise AI — 247 VC offers something rare: a seed fund run by investors who have actually built and backed companies from zero, with a cheque size that fits serious 0-to-1 work and follow-on capital to stay with you. The EVE campus programme shows they are thinking long-term about the pipeline, not just deals. No credits or perks have been publicly announced, and specific fund size beyond the ₹250 crore target is not publicly disclosed.
